Environmental and Quality Policy

As a result of the growing concerns about raw materials and energy worldwide, and the increasing environmental impact of the continuous and large amounts of waste, waste has become the focus of attention. The approach that waste is not the inevitable evil, but one of the most important sources of secondary raw materials, is becoming more and more accepted. Following this approach, MÉH Zrt. has been collecting recyclable waste in an organized form for more than 60 years.

The aim of MÉH Zrt. is to play an increasingly important role in the waste management of Hungary and in the neighboring countries, by constantly improving the quality of our services and meeting the highest quality and environmental protection requirements.

• The collected waste is sent to the recyclers who are able to recycle it as secondary raw materials and reuse it at the highest possible rate.
• We carry out our activities in full compliance with the legal and other requirements of environmental protection, to prevent pollution, and to continuously improve our environmental performance.
• We make it possible to collect a full range of collectible hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Our activities reduce the scope and quantity of waste meant to be disposed of.
• We contribute to the recycling of waste into production, thus reducing the burden on the environment.
• By collecting waste that poses a direct danger to the environment, we reduce the occurrence of environmental hazards.
• We help to ensure that only waste which currently cannot be recycled is disposed of on landfills.
• We ensure that our work is carried out with an environmentally conscious approach, by training and educating our employees.
• At our sites, we meet the environmental protection requirements with continuous investments.
• When selecting our suppliers and subcontractors, their environmental performance is taken into account.
• We ensure that our policy is understood and accepted at all levels of our organization and that our employees have a natural desire for quality work, and show initiative to keep improving the quality.
• In order to better meet the needs of our customers and to widen our customer base, we are constantly expanding and modernizing our activities and assets.
• We provide our supplier partners with professional waste management, complex environmental services and technical capability to facilitate selective waste collection.
• We are committed to conscious activity that promotes the protection of the environment, both in our development activity, and in our awareness raising advertising and PR activities.
• The management and all employees of MÉH Zrt. assume responsibility for the continuous maintenance and improvement of quality.
